{boy's 4th of july tee: diy}

If you are in need of a simple, easy, fast shirt to help your little man celebrate the 4th in style, have I got a project for you!

You will need:
*fabric paint (blue and a bit of red)
*a tee shirt
*a star shaped object (cookie cutter used here)

Lay out your tee with cardboard on the inside to prevent paint leaking through. Pour out your blue and red paints and grab your star shape. Dab it in the paint, test on a scrap until you get the feel of how the paint will settle into your fabric, and you feel confident on achieving the look you want. Begin dabbing, remembering to make at least one star on your shirt red, so that it really stands out!

On this shirt, I did a bit of measuring to get straight lines, and I wanted a faded, rough look for my stars. A bit more or less paint will help you achieve a more solid, or alternately, a rougher look. Stars randomly placed would be fun, too!

Let the shirt dry, grab your boy and your sparklers!
